In order to support you as practice parent, your teacher will meet with you for approximately one month before your child begins, so you can learn some violin skills that will help you to practice with them more effectively. Please plan to rent a full-size violin (link) for this period of time.

You will learn to play a scale and a few simple songs … not with a goal of becoming proficient, but to experience the instrument hands-on. Most parents find this experience enjoyable and challenging, and we appreciate the opportunity to get to know you one-on-one before your child begins lessons.
